Morning check-out from the hotel and proceed for city sightseeing tour
of Delhi visiting Old & New Delhi
OLD DELHI - A sight-seeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting the Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India.
NEW DELHI - An extensive sight-seeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Qutub Minar, a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave.
Evening departure transfer to the railway station to board
the train for Jodhpur. Overnight in train
Day 03: Jodhpur
Arrive Jodhpur, meet & assistance at the railway
station. Later transfer to the hotel. After some rest
proceed for city sightseeing tour of Prince Jodha founded
city Jodhpur - the stronghold of the fierce Rathore clan,
in 1459. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low
sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit Moti Mahal and
Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble
cenotaph, built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II
around 1899 and Umaid Public gardens. Night stay in
Jodhpur
Day 04 : Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
Train Departure : 05:15 < - > Train Arrival : 11:00
Early morning departure transfer to the railway station to
board the train for Jaisalmer. Arrive Jaisalmer, meet
& assistance at the railway station. Later transfer to
the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Night stay in
Jaisalmer
Day 05 : Jaisalmer
Morning proceed for city sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer visiting the
burnished sandstone Jaisalmer, Throbbing in the heart of
the Thar, is an intricately molded wonderland in place of
a barren land, today stands a city of gilded magic. The
origins of Jaisalmer go back to the 12th century, when
Rawal Jaisal abandoned his old fort at Ludarwa and laid
the foundation of a new city. Visit the magnificent fort,
the Patwon Ki Haveli (Mansion) and Salim Singh Ki Haveli,
with their carved balconies and brackets, which are
supreme examples of the art. Evening enjoy camel ride at
SAND DUNES (optional). Night stay in Jaisalmer
Day 06 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
Train Departure : 17:15 < - > Train Arrival : 21:45
Morning is leisure. Check-out from the hotel at
1200 noon and explore the local market of Jaisalmer.
Evening departure transfer to the railway station to board
the train for Jodhpur. Arrive Jodhpur, meet &
assistance at the railway station. Later transfer to the
hotel. Night stay in Jodhpur
Day 07 :
Jodhpur - Udaipur ( by road 5 hrs )
Morning drive to Udaipur enroute visiting the Jain temples at Ranakpur, superbly preserved in a near-perfect condition for over 500 years. The most attractive features are the 29 halls of the temple, which have 1444 pillars of which no two are like.
Arrive Udaipur and transfer to the hotel. Night stay in
Udaipur
Day 08 : Udaipur
Morning proceed for city tour of Udaipur visiting The city is built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh and has been described as the most romantic spot on the continent of India by Col. James Todd. Visit the City Palace museum, the Jagdish temple, Sahelion Ki Bari (Queen's resort for their friends) Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk art museum) and the Pratap Memorial. Evening enjoy boat ride at Lake
Pichola (optional). Night stay in Udaipur
Day 09 : Udaipur - Jaipur
Train Departure : 22:20 < - > Train Arrival : 06:00
Morning check-out from the hotel and extension tour of
Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh visiting ancient carved temples of menal on the way. The route covers glimpses of unspoiled tribal life. Visit the chittaur fort - the symbol of rajput chivalry, pride and honor.
After sightseeing back to the Udaipur and departure
transfer to the railway station to board the train for
Jaipur. Overnight in train
Day 10 : Jaipur
Arrive Jaipur, meet & assistance at the railway
station. Later transfer to the hotel. After some rest
proceed for city sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting
AMBER FORT PALACE - Amber is the classic romantic
Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by
Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai
Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise
where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds
it's ultimate expression. Continuesightseeing.
CITY PALACE - A delightful blend of Mughal and
traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace
sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city.
It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and
the City Palace Museum.
JANTAR MANTAR - This is the largest and the best
preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II
in different parts of the country. This observatory
consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still
in use.
HAWA MAHAL - The ornamental facade of this
"Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in
Jaipur. Their five-storey structures of sandstone
plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and
elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and
windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a
royal grandstand for the palace women. Night stay in
Jaipur
Day 11 : Jaipur - Agra ( by road 6 hrs )
Morning drive to Agra enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. The deserted, red
Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar built that as his capital
and palace in the late 16th century is an exhilarating
experience. It a veritable fairytale city and its
"ruins" are in pristine condition ... it's not
hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in
the days of its grandeur. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza,
the largest gateway in the world. Continue drive to Agra.
Arrive Agra & check-in at hotel. Night stay in Agra
Day 12 : Agra - Delhi ( by road 5 hrs )
Morning check-out from the hotel and proceed for city
sightseeing tour of Agra visiting the world famous Taj
Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for
his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains.
Also visit Agra Fort, containing the Pearl Mosque - the
rusty and majestic red- sandstone fort of Agra stands on
the banks of the river Yamuna and Emperor Akbar started
the construction in 1566. At the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of
private audience) where marble pavilions with floral
inlays lend an ethereal ambience, the Emperor sat on his
gem-studded peacock Throne and met foreign ambassadors and
rulers of friendly kingdoms. After sightseeing drive to
Delhi. Arrive Delhi & departure transfer to the
airport to board the flight for onward journey.
